"I used Brighthome Landscapes to design and install landscape features in my backyard. Unfortunately, COVID hit and my project was never finished. I didn't think it would be a big deal to ask that they finish the project now that things are somewhat back to normal, but this is instead where I learned their true business ethics. The gf/wife (Anastasia) runs the operations, so most of my communication has been with her since I've made the request. I kept getting the "Nathan's unavailable" story. She finally comes back and says if I want them to finish install of the pergola, and posts I have to pay for additional labor. Nathan received payment in full, and my original contract stated that these items would be installed, yet they requested more money. Anastasia and Nathan sent me a copy of my Docusign contract, but I noticed the wording had been changed. They presented this to me as support for why they would not complete the project. When I told them the contract didn't match, they said it was changed afterwards because otherwise Nathan would not have gotten paid. Needless to say, I've had to contact the state licensing board for resolution. In the meantime, I must warn the public of their shady practices. I wish I had known previously, that their good reviews were mostly friends and family." - Kay W.

"I hired them to pour a concrete slab on my front side-yard. As I was out of town I could not keep an eye on them. When I got home I noticed that they poured my concrete 6" to 8" inches from the property line. 8" at the bottom, and 6" at the top. Not only did they not keep the pre-agreed 3" off the property line, but they did not even keep a straight line. When My neighbor hired them to do his side-yard which was adjacent to mine. He poured my neighbors concrete into may property.

They had to redo the whole thing after much complaining on my end. Almost had to get the building department involved. These guys don't even know enough to run a sting-line to set their forms. Stay away." - Tim A.

Their install techniques of rolling the edges has made a seamless transition between the grass on and concrete. That was the only thing I was most worried about. "So I'll be posting here and other sites where there are ratings just so customers can have a heads up. If I was going to rate Tony and this company on the job they did on my putting green it would not be a 1 star. It would be closer to a 4. They did a good job on my putting green. At the time they were doing the putting green I talked with Tony on 3 separate occasions about doing turf in a bocce ball court for me as well. He quoted in writing and in person $12 a square foot. Once I built the bocce ball court, I called Tony to schedule. Tony changed the quote to over $7 more a square foot, over $19 A square foot. He explained its too small of a job and there would be 'waste' of the turf. If this was the case, he should have said this to me instead of telling me he can do the job, multiple times, and quote me the cost. Bad business, and unethical to attempt to scam me for that kind of money just to get my job done. I was a returning customer of only a couple months ago, I just wish I could have been treated with honesty instead of attempting to get over a thousand more dollars from my family.
